A little history
Gare Saint-LazareChronologically the first of the Parisian stations, it was built initially (1837) a little more in north, close to current Place of Europe, for the line Paris - Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Rebuilt by Alfred Armand between 1841-1843, it was increased later by Eugene Flachat (1851-1853), in particular by the addition of five covered halls of the metal structure, broadest having a range of 40 meters. Structure
The current building (Right Lisch, 1885-1889) surrounds the older structures and presents a frontage of the XVIIème century in Art schools style.
